Fun Shaker Card
Hello crafty friends! It's Lidya here and I'm back to share another card with you in my Let's Mix It Up series. Today I'm sharing a fun shaker card featuring these beautiful birds from the Wingman stamp set. I love shaker cards, they are so easy and fun to make. If you've never made one before, I hope my post today will inspire you to try! Now, let's get started!
First, I started by stamping all the images from the Wingman stamp set, colored them using Copic markers and fussy cut them out (coordinating dies available here). I took a pink glitter card stock and cut it using the Scalloped Imperial Frames Dies for my front panel, this die is perfect to make shaker cards. Next, I took a white card stock and ink blended Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar and Cracked Pistachio for the back panel. I splattered it with white acrylic paint and gold watercolor paint.
Now that I have my front and back panel ready, I can go ahead and create the shaker portion of the card. I adhered a piece of acetate sheet to my front panel using double sided tape and then adhered the 3mm deep foam tape.
I filled it with the shaker elements and then attached my back panel to my shaker frame. (I highly recommend using this Heffy Doodle 3mm deep foam tape because the thickness is perfect for shaker cards, it really is a game-changer).
I heat-embossed the sentiments from Happily Ever Crafter stamp set on a red card stock using white embossing powder. Next, I die cut the word "colorful" using the Stitched Alphabetizers Dies and inked Distress Oxide.
Finally, I adhered all the images and sentiments using double sided tape. For the finishing touch, I added some glitter to make it sparkly.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! I hope you enjoyed the card I've shared with you today! Wishing you a colorful day! Hugs, Lidya
